Advice on the technology behind your program, from people who run programs.
Workforce technology is sold by vendors and bought by procurement, and the people who live in it every day are rarely in the room. Altitude Advisory is our advisory practice for that gap: research on the tools that give candidates and your hiring managers a seamless experience, honest assessments of what you already own, and a lab where the latest AI automation is tested on real program work before you commit to it. We recommend what fits, including when it isn't ours.
Four engagements, each with a written deliverable you keep.
Every engagement ends in findings your team can act on without us. If the answer is to keep what you have, we'll say so.
Tech stack research
A current-state map of your workforce technology: VMS, ATS, onboarding, background and credentialing, timekeeping, direct sourcing, and the integrations between them. We compare it against the market, score each piece on candidate experience, hiring-manager experience, data quality, and total cost, and give you a roadmap with sequencing and budget ranges. Four to six weeks.
Candidate & hiring-manager experience audit
We walk the actual path: a candidate from application to first day, a hiring manager from requisition to approval. Every handoff, login, duplicate form, and dead end is logged and timed. You get a prioritized fix list, split into what your current tools can do today and what needs a change.
Vendor selection & RFP support
Requirements written from how your program actually runs, a shortlist, scripted demos built around your edge cases, reference checks with programs like yours, and a scoring model your procurement team can defend. We don't take referral fees from vendors, so the recommendation is only about fit.
Program advisory
Rate cards, supplier panel, classification risk, governance, and reporting, assessed by the same Program Managers who run our managed programs. This is the Advisory engagement model on our MSP page, available with or without technology scope.
The latest AI automation, tested on real program work first.
New workforce AI tools arrive every month. Most demos look good. Altitude Lab is where our team runs them against the work a program actually produces: requisition intake, supplier Q&A, candidate screening, onboarding documents, classification checks, invoice reconciliation, and reporting. What holds up gets written up. What doesn't gets written up too.
The Lab Report
A quarterly briefing on what we tested, what it did to cycle time and accuracy, what it cost, and where it broke. Available to advisory clients and to clients on our managed programs.
Scoped pilots in your program
Pick one workflow. We run the automation alongside the current process for 30 to 60 days, measure both, and give you a decision memo. Pilots run on your existing tools where possible, so there's nothing to unwind if the answer is no.
Any VMS, any ATS
We deliver most managed programs on Altitude Workspace, powered by Elevate VMS from our technology partner. Advisory work is separate from that choice. If you run Beeline, SAP Fieldglass, Workday, or something else, the research and the lab apply to your stack.
Advisors who have run the programs they advise on.
No analyst pool. The people on an advisory engagement have operated MSP, RPO, or EOR programs and configured the platforms they're assessing.
Technology Advisory Lead
Your primary contact. Owns the research plan, the findings document, and the roadmap. Typically 12 or more years across VMS and ATS implementations and program operations, with hands-on configuration experience on at least two major platforms.
Automation Analyst
Designs and runs pilots, builds the measurement, and writes the Lab Report. Comes from program operations rather than software sales, so the tests reflect what a coordinator or supplier manager actually does all day.
Program Manager
A working Program Manager from one of our managed accounts sits on every engagement to pressure-test recommendations against day-to-day reality, and to carry findings into your program if you later ask us to run it.
From first call to a roadmap you own.
Scope
Week 1
A working session with program, procurement, HR, and IT. We agree the questions to answer, the systems in scope, and who needs to sign off at the end.
Research
Weeks 2–4
System walkthroughs, data pulls, candidate and hiring-manager interviews, supplier interviews, and market comparison. Interim findings shared at week 3 so nothing in the final report is a surprise.
Findings
Week 5
Written findings, a scored comparison, and a roadmap with sequencing, budget ranges, and the risks of doing nothing. Presented to your steering group, then yours to keep.
Your call
After
Run the roadmap with your team, ask us to pilot a piece of it in the lab, or hand the program to us. The fee for advisory is the same whichever you choose.
Advisory fits alongside MSP, RPO, EOR, and Direct Sourcing.
Fix the tools before you fix the program
Most MSP problems blamed on suppliers are really workflow and tooling problems. A tech stack assessment ahead of an MSP build and hand off means the program is designed around tools that work.
Explore MSPCandidate experience that converts
An experience audit of your ATS and scheduling tools usually finds the drop-off points before a sourcer ever gets involved.
Explore RPOChoose the right talent-pool technology
Direct sourcing lives or dies on the platform the pool sits in. We assess the options against your ATS and VMS before you build.
